I love this time of year. The feeling that winter is coming, and I need to prepare my home and my family for those cold months gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. I am the provider, and the protector. It is my responsibility to make sure we are prepared for the rough Rochester weather that awaits us, and my family is counting on me to do this. I believe we are ready. The firewood is all neatly stacked, the windows are all sealed, the doors all close nicely, and I put an extra layer of insulation in our attic to help make the home more efficient.
I also like the holidays (even though they all come on so fast) it seems all the stores are already setting up their Christmas sections, and it is not even Halloween yet. It is a busy time of year, but it is also a wonderful time. Halloween is a time for fun parties, and for watching the kids get scared of the ghosts and goblins that adorn the yards of our neighbors homes.
